Smartwatches' Popularity and Demand
Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, consumers are gravitating toward linked monitoring devices, and this trend is likely to continue until 2021. Furthermore, the demand for smartwatches is predicted to increase by 8% in unit shipments, led by tech-savvy and fashion-conscious customers. The global smartwatch market was valued at 68.59 million units in 2020, and it is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 21.98 percent to 230.30 million units by 2026. (2021-2026). According to research firm IDC, the wearables category of consumer devices which includes smartwatches, fitness trackers, and augmented reality glasses shipped more than 100 million units for the first time in the first quarter. Sales increased by 34.4 percent in Q2 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
